Welcome to "Funny Florida Females." I'm Clarice Kentwood, and I'm Patti Hope, and we're both comedians and Florida transplants. With this podcast, we hope to feature and celebrate what makes Florida's females so funny.

In our latest episode, we had a blast at the live taping at the Joke Joint in Summerfield, Florida. The audience was fantastic, and we even had the chance to chat with Joanne Vidal, one of the co-owners of the Joke Joint. Joanne shared the story of how they opened the venue in 2023 and their passion for comedy.

Following that, we had an interview with Jess Torres, a comedian in her 20s who recently entered the entertainment industry through stand-up comedy. Jess shared her journey, starting with a stand-up comedy class in Orlando, and how it became an outlet for her during a challenging time. She discussed tailoring her material for different audiences and navigating the comedy scene as a female comedian.

We then delved into a quirky news story about a woman, Sandra Jimena, who was arrested for aggravated battery. She allegedly attacked her boyfriend with a rabies needle during an argument. The incident involved jealousy, an argument escalating, and a rather unconventional choice of weapon.
